The opera recording “Donizetti: Lucia di Lammermoor”, starring the famous soprano Lisette Oropesa, is highly dramatic and artistically profound. It will be officially released by EuroArts Music International on December 5, 2025. This album is not only a precise tribute to the pinnacle of romantic opera, but also a vocal epic about love, betrayal, madness, and fate. Oropesa perfectly interprets the tragic transformation of the female protagonist Lucia from a pure girl to a mental breakdown with her iconic clear tone, delicate emotional expression, and stunning coloratura techniques. Especially in the famous “crazy scene” in the third act, she pushes the character’s inner world to the extreme with her highly layered singing, which can be regarded as a model of modern performance.
Tenor Stefan Pop’s portrayal of Edgado is equally outstanding, with a voice full of passion and poetry. The duet with Oropesa is full of tension and emotional interweaving, which is moving.
