This album ‘Adès: Forgotten Dances’ is a brilliant collaboration between Scottish guitarist Sean Shibe and British composer Thomas Adès. It features six solo guitar pieces ‘Forgotten Dances’ composed specifically for Shibe, marking Adès’ first work for a solo instrument other than the piano. Inspired by cinema (Buñuel), visual arts (Max Ernst), and music (Berlioz and Purcell), these pieces showcase rich artistic cross-disciplinary charm.
