La Dolce Volta presents Prix Cortot 2025 winner Alice Power in a recital that moves from Bach and Shostakovich to Medtner and Rachmaninoff. Her playing balances contrapuntal clarity with dramatic intensity. The program includes Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in B-flat major, BWV 866, the French Overture, BWV 831, Shostakovich’s Prelude and Fugue No. 21, Medtner’s “Minacciosa” Sonata, and Rachmaninoff’s Polka de W.R.
