Débuts enchantés marks the enchanting debut of Duo Erkutun Dariyerli on Evidence Classics. This album celebrates French piano repertoire for two pianos and four hands, featuring Fauré’s tender Dolly Suite, Debussy’s evocative Petite Suite, and a rare two-piano transcription of Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune by Ravel. The duo closes with Ravel’s beloved Ma mère l’Oye, a five-movement fairy-tale journey from Pavane to the luminous Jardin féerique. With refined touch and seamless ensemble, the young pianists bring a fresh, poetic voice to these timeless scores.
