Gobi Canticle is a stunning collection of contemporary chamber works for violin and cello duo, performed by Natalie Lin Douglas (cello) and Patrick Yim (violin). The title track evokes the vast, mystic landscapes of the Gobi Desert. The album traverses a rich spectrum of modern musical expressions — from energetic duos and nocturne-like echoes to playful homages and the serene beauty of “Dan Poong” (Autumn Leaves). A masterful dialogue between two strings, weaving contemporary Western composition with Eastern poetic sensibility.
